  1. He needs a small night light near his bed opposite your side.. so he will look at the light and be comforted.  Have him say his prayers at night, tell him the angels watch over him and that is comforting to a 7 year old heck its comforting to me!

  2. I used to get scared easily at night too. Get him a nightlight and lots of toys to sleep with. He'll feel more protected with the toys.

  3. There are a lot of things you can do. But there is only to things that realy work. (a) Buy him a teddy bear and convince him that it will keep him safe, Or (B) Show him thats theres nothing under his bed before you go to sleep. Or get a night light for his side of the room. hope your problem gets soleved.

  4. read him adventure stories, the good guy always wins.

  5. It's illegal to share rooms with the opposite s*x at your age..even if it is your brother...you should have your own room and not be bothered with this..its you parents problem. Tell them!

  6. This worked for my son:

Get a plastic spray bottle - just a cheap little one will do fine.

    Fill it with water.

Tell him it's Monster Spray and give it to him. You see, when you spray Monster Spray around the bed, the monsters stay away.

If it helps, maybe you know someone kind of special - like a foreigner. Ask them to go along with it and tell your brother it's magic spray from their country and they gave it to you.

Worked for my son when he was about 3. I got the Monster Spray from my Irish neighbor ;)

Monster Spray gives the child a tool that he or she can use - it's empowering.

  7. That's odd.

He is terrified of ghosts and monsters even though you are in the same room as him? Hmm...

How about you reassure him that there is NO monsters at all. Check the closet for him, and under the bed for him. Try it for 2 or 3 nights. If it doesn't work, reward him with something if he stays in his bed. Give him like a  lollipop the next day or a chocolate. IF he does it reward him Do it for a week, then stop rewarding him. Tell him if he sleeps in his bed for a whole month he gets something special like a toy or something.

Then do it for every 2 months then 3 then so on and so on. Then stop rewarding him or mentioning it after a year or 8 months. Then he will get used to the idea of sleeping in his own bed.

Also remind him every night that a certain stuffed animal is protecting him (like a stuffed anima in your room is watching out you guys...unless that scares him too!)

  8. just tell him that there are no monsters or ghosts left because the giant invisible saber toothed cat scared them all away.

  9. Get a night light

  10. What are you allowing him to watch? Anything that looks weird or spooky may frighten him and if you are allowing him to watch horror films, your terrible. No 7yr old should be watching those kind of things
