Yesterday my 4 year old went to the doc to get her shots for kindergarten and I got off work and seen her arm swollen I put Ice on it will it be ok

  1. She'll be fine.  That is a very common side effect.


  2. Swelling is normal. After mostly any shot the nurses will  tell you to rub it at home with a warm cloth, cuz the medicine will stay in the certain spot where injected , you have to rub it gently, itll go down.

  3. I would defiantly take her to the doctor. I could be normal but it might not. She might have an allergenic reaction.

  4. my daughters last shots made her swell up too. we put a heating pad on it for 10 min. every 3 hours for one day and by the next day it was gone. good luck.

  5. yes swelling at the injection site is a common side effect. Ice was a good idea, I would just keep an eye on it. If it was the MMR shot they usually get at 5 then it's even more common.

  6. Take her to the doctor.
