My oldest daughter started walking at 10 months. Her little sister just turned 1 on Sunday and she is not even crawling. She hates to put weight on her legs and when you try and put her in a stand she curls her legs up under her. I spoke with my daughter at her 1 year checkup and he told to see what happened between now and her next checkup. I have worked with children for over 10 years and I just have to keep telling my self that each child is different.

I had one walk at 12 mo and one at 9 mo.  Most parents would say count your blessings, because walking opens up a whole new world of danger.  Doctors generally don't get worried until they are 18 months, though, as long as she's crawling and babbling and standing.  Just ask the doctor at the 15 mo checkup.

Obviously all kids are different, but my own daughter started walking on her own, unassisted, around 14 months.  Just to show how much things can vary, she was also getting her first two teeth in right around the same time!

My son started walking just before his first birthday.  He's 15 1/2 months now and he's walking and running like a champ (with the occasional "boom").

they can start at any age. some people i know didn't start till 2 years.  a problem parents don't seem to realize is if you talk a lot of baby talk to you children, then they still think they are little and wont talk or walk as quick as a child that doesn't get talked to at all like a baby. parents who talk to their children like normal people often have kids that learn really early in everything

16 months. She still doesn't walk consistently on her own. We have to pick her up and stand her up and even then, she'll only take up to 10 steps and only if there is a person enticing her to come.

Most babies walk between 14-18 months old. If she's not walking by 18 months, then consult your pediatrician or a child development centre.

9.5 months.. she started doing every thing really early for her age though...

My sons 13 mo and not walking yet either. Soo i dunno every child is different. My brother in law started at 8 mo and my neice got up and walked on her 1st b-day. So it varies.
