  1. was it dark or regular chocolate?  dark chocolate is the worst kind for dogs.   just one i would say ok, but don't let him get anymore.

  2. my friend had a lasso apso and it was purebred  and she gave it

min. of 6 m&m 's per day the dog lived to age of 15 !

    so you should be ok

  3. It isn't just the caffeine that hurts the dogs - they can't digest a certain ingredient in chocolate and it builds up in their system. One m&m won't hurt him as long as it doesn't regularly happen.

  4. No it won't hurt him. The only reason people say chocolate is so bad for dogs is the caffiene. But a little m&m isn't gonna do anything. :)

  5. awwww no but that's so sweet of you to be concerned:)

It's just not good for dogs- like most human human food- to eat chocolate as it's not even "real" food.  He'll be fine so long as he didn't choke and he may just have a little upset stomache:)

  6. No.

It is theobromine that is harmful to dogs, not chocolate itself. Theobromine is a stimulant found in the coca plant.

Your dogs system will try to purge itself of the theobromine if it gets enough of it.  One tiny piece won't cause any significant damage.

If your dog is crying, vomiting or has diarrhea, then you need to take him to a vet.

I have two min pins, one 4.5 pounds and one 7 pounds.  They have gotten into the trash and had chocolate cake and were fine.

The other thing you can do is take him out, and if his stomack is upset he will eat grass.  This will help him if he is sick.  The other thing we do is give our dogs lots of treats and hope he will go to the bathroom faster.

    No need to worry.
