  1. IDK I'm Year round and my times are way faster. But a lot of summer swimmers are in that range.

  2. well mine are all in the 30's and i just started 2 weeks ago

  3. Have her focus on shaving her time and on her PB's (personal bests)

Since her back is the fastest and should be her third fastest this is her strength right now and encourage her for her back the most.  Free should be 2 sec. slower that fl, should be 2 sec slower than back, and br is slowest

I would have her shoot for 40.00 sec. in the 50m back for the end of the season

  4. is this long course or short course

well, its a little odd that her back is faster than her free

but otherwise, great for a beginner!

  5. idk bout long course (summer) but they sound good for just starting!!!! my times r faster but ive been swimming and mine r short course times. i think shes doing good for a beginner!!! :-)

  6. If she's just started swimming those are pretty good for a brand new beginner. She also has an advantage just starting because she will likely drop loads of time this summer.

Tell her you're proud of her and that she needs should stick with it no matter what her times look like now. Trying something new as an older kid can be difficult.

If her technique is correct emphasize that. Perfecting her technique at this stage is what will make her faster both now and in the long run.

  7. that's pretty good for a beginner. my times are in the 40s but i also swim competitivaly all year round, so that's really good for a beginner. My sister is about the same times as that, and she's also 12 but she swims all year round, so i mean she must have been good from the start.

Its really important to perfect her technique, that way she'll go a lot faster, now and for the future. Also it will help her to use her energy correctly at a swim meet.

    Hope I helped :)
