My little sister keeps touching...?

Question

My little sister keeps touching my chiuaua in its (Private place) and its really starting to get on my nerves. She touches it with her foot and when I tell her to stop she touches him AGAIN!! She touches him lightly but weirdly,So please help!

my one year old does the same as that with our 12 week old lab, he does not understand that its inapropriate or wrong, i dont think she has a clue what shes doing as my son doesnt but it just takes patience and time to teach them its wrong, i keep telling my son its dirty and make weird faces and sometimes i even pretend to cry as to let him know its really wrong and he has not done it now for a few days. so fingers crossed LOL!! she will get the message soon but for now i think she might think its a game as my boy did! its not going to last forever so just bare with it and all will come right! good luck!xx

It is possible she is trying to annoy you because she knows that touching it annoys you. Answer to that is just ignore her. She will probably eventually stop.

Could also means she's "experementing." It depends how old she is. I understand how it can be irritating. Why not ask her about her behavior.

If THOSE don't work, just keep your little doggie away from her and consult an adult about it. That will most definatly stop the problem.

how old is she? if she's really young just tell her that your Chihuahua will eventually hate her. idk try to get someone older to enforce it.

The first thing to do is simply explain that it is not okay to touch your animal after you have asked her not to. Also, tell her that petting the dog on its back or scratching behind its ears is okay, she cannot touch his privates. If she doesn't seem to understand this, tell her that she could hurt him on accident so she needs to stop before she does. The final step I would take if she keeps doing it is telling her that if she can't touch the dog in the right places, that she won't be allowed to touch the dog at all. If she continues the behavior, talk to your parents and explain the situation. She may listen to them more than she will listen to you since she probably knows that you really cant discipline her like your parents could.

Ask your sister if she would like the dog to start touching her in private places.

Maybe you should alert your mom, so you don't get in trouble for disciplining her (if your parents are like that, I don't know).

She could just be curious, if she is young, and that's natural but....

Well when the dog has had enough and she get bit or the dog nips at your sister, thats when she will finally learn her lesson, hopefully though, she won't get hurt too bad. But all it is going to take is just one little nip from the dog and she will eventually stop.

I think the best thing to do would be to ignore it. If she's continuing to do it once you've told her not to and she can see she's annoying you she'll just want to do it more. You should just ignore it for a little while, because she's probably doing it now, just to get a reaction out of you, if she doesn't stop after a while and she's just doing it for pleasure. You need to explain to her that it is wrong to do that and that is not common, and or proper manner.  Bribe her if you must, tell her that if she stops doing it she will receive something, such as an amount of money, cookies, gum, a toy.

That's odd but she probably doesn't know better. You just have to show here that that's your dogs "private place" and that no body likes to be touched there, even tell her that it could hurt him if you really get frustrated because then she won't do it from fear of hurting the dog, and it's true though if you press too hard... you know..... anyways yeah make sure you tell her that's its just uncomfortable to feel and see, even if your sister thinks it's "fun". If it gets too much take the chihuahua away from her and put it in another room or just hold onto the dog and pet it instead of your sister, because then she can't even touch the dog but only do it after your sister does that *touchy* thing with her foot.

This happens with many children when they find something that draws a ton of attention. Try these two methods

                       Method 1:       OK now that I know that she is three its probably not a big problem. You might want to get something else to interest her. Or she might do it for attention. Maybe you aren't giving her enough attention? Play with your sister a little bit. If you had your chiuaua as a puppy you probably remember how curious he was and whenever he did something that attracted your attention he would do it over and over and over. Well your sister is just the same. Try to ignore it or distract her

      Method 2: (if she doesn't stop even after method 1)

First you should try to talk to her about how it must feel to your chiuaua in his private place. If she still does it keep your chiuaua away from her. You should tell your parents. She could get sick or your chiuaua could too. also if she STILL doesn't stop you might want to take her to a doctor or psychologist and your dog to the vet. He might have caught something from her hands or he could have gotten a sore spot.
