Could someone recommend one? Thank you! P.S. I wish I could give points, but I'm new at this.

  1. Amontillado is a very good wine for drinking and cooking  but it is $$.For cooking I would go with a Taylor Port  wine good for cooking and drinking but not as expensive..

  2. i don't know where you are, or what sherries are available there. the reason you are told NOT to use cooking sherry, is because it is a lower grade of sherry which has a large amout of salt added to it. get the best "drinking" sherry you can afford. trust the local spirit store recommendations, and you should be very pleased with the result.

  3. Osborne Fino Sherry

    or Sandeman Fino Sherry

They both retail for $12.99 to $13.99 in most areas.
