My lovebird lost feathers on its chest?

My lovebird lost alot of feathers on its chest and about a week ago she laid a couple eggs and they are unfertile. Would she get her feathers back now

  1. I would keep the eggs in the cage for now and remove them in about a month but I would place some paper or nesting material she can use for them instead of her feathers.   But you should consider getting her a mate doesn't have to be for breeding just because its in her nature to be in a flock.  You should also read stuff about egg binding and what to feed your bird while she's in a  laying eggs spree.


  2. The feathers should grow back in time.

  3. My cockatiel does this when she lays eggs. Chances are she is just molting! she should get them back!

  4. She is plucking feathers from her brood spots so the eggs will be warmer.  Remove the eggs from her cage and she should stop.

  5. The feathers should grow back, either she's going through a molt or she pluck them fto make nest.
