  1. Take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory (or something that you usually take that will not hurt your stomach) then lie down with a cold pack on your back (if the pain occurred 24-48 hours after playing golf).  You can use a heating pad if the pain has been going one for more than 2 days.

And when you to work tonight and you still have the same pain, use a back support to help the back muscles.  See a doc if the pain doesn't go away.  Good luck!

  2. If you've really hurt your back u should rest it to prevent it getting worse. Use thermal compressive back support to help ease pain & relax muscles for faster healing. U could c a sports physio who can help u with your technique & warm up exercises.

  3. Ibuprofen (Advil) is an ant-inflammatory, will probably do you the most good, but take it with food, and try one of those thermal heat wrap things for immediate relief.  If you're not used to muscle relaxers or painkillers, don't take them, it'll really mess you up for work, plus you need a prescription.

Engage your abdominal muscles to protect your lower back-- the stooped posture when addressing the ball can really kill your lumbar area.

    Good luck!

  4. If you need a fix that quickly, maybe take some painkillers? OR you can just lie down :)

  5. Hi stretch it a lot and take some painkillers. I also play golf assuming you don't play that often, your back will hurt in the beginning until you get golf fit, if you are playing for a while then you must work on your swing maybe something is faulty
