My mac brushes are shedding

Question

I bought the five piece brush set from Nordstroms. And i'm super happy with them. But when I use the 187 and the 168 I find little hairs on face (not a lot but one or two.) And the bristles on the side seem to stick on somewhat. Should I return them for new ones? I've only used them for about a week.. Is this normal?

the mac brushes I have, have never shed.... you can try to ask for new ones, but they may not do it..

it happened to me when i first got my brushes, even once a hair went inside my eye!! lol however, it stopped after using it for a while

The brush sets are machine-made, so there is a small chance that you will encounter shedding. I have the Holiday 2007 eye brush set and I only have lost one hair on the 252SE but for the 168 it tends to be more common. I think the better investment for you would be to save your money and get the full size of the 168 and 187 because they are considered to be two staple MAC brushes. My 217SE from the brush set I bought does have hairs that stick out a bit but it doesn't affect the quality of the brush.
