My macbook keeps shutting down?

i have leaopord and wenever i wach a video it shuts down ive tried to reset the smc and it didnt help

  1. Have you installed all the Leopard updates? If so, something is wrong with the Leopard install. I'd suggest using a program like Carbon Copy Cloner (free) to backup your hard drive to an external, then reload Leopard with a clean install.

    Or you can take your MacBook to the Apple Store - if it's less than a year old (or less than 3 years old, if you bought AppleCare) they will fix it for free.

    Is there one type of video that crashes the system? I was having problems with playing .avi files until I installed Perian (free) codec pack - now all is well with my video.
