i put a picture cd into my macbook and it isn't recognizing that there is anything there. not only can i not look at the pictures, but since it doesn't realize that there is a cd in the computer, it will not eject it. when i press the eject button, it doesn't even make a noise like it is trying to eject? anyone know why?

  1. I had a similar problem with a homemade dvd.  Reboot the computer and it should try reading the cd during boot.  Wait about 5 minutes, the computer will realize it can't read the disk and eject it.

  2. Try just restarting the macbook and then holding the eject button once it's booted up again all the way. The macbook must have just 'forgotten' that it had the CD in for some reason, but should realize it when it restarts.

  3. This has happened to me before. Just either keep trying or close and shut down your computer and then restart it and eject it then. Also you can try dragging the cd from the desk top into the trash, that is another way to eject them. Good luck @>--

  4. I dont know know about Mac's, but pc's have a small hole in the front of the cd tray. All I have to do is stick the end of the paper clip in the hole and the cd ejects.  Do Macs have this feature?

  5. Restart your computer and drag the cd to your trash can.

  6. Good luck. My picture CD is still stuck in my I-book.

    $350 for mac to fixit.
