My male bearded dragon wont let me touch him or go near him?

every time i go near my male bearded dragon he puffs out his beard and opens his mouth and he trathes and tries to run from me i dont know what his problem is can someone help me im scared for his safety

Maybe he is sick. I'm about to get a bearded dragon and I was reading up about them and it said that even in the wild bearded dragons are so docile that they will usually let you pick them up...IN THE WILD. So if you little guy is showing aggression or fear maybe he is sick. Talk to the pet store you got him from and see what they say. Or ask them if they know anybody who would know what to do.
