I have a 6 mo. old male cat, a 2 yr old male cat and a 3 mo. old female cat. The male cats are peeing on the floor. I'm not exactly sure which one it is, but I keep finding little puddles in the house. Would getting another female cat help? How can I get them to stop marking their territory in the house?

  1. it just means he is marking his territory sprinkle salt all over your house and he should stop that

  2. get mad and tell them  that its your terittory and this is your way of marking it (big mad voice)

and a female they will make some  kittens

    fromn two fathers

  3. First, be sure which cat is peeing on the floor. Then have him checked out by your vet. A cat peeing outside the litter box can be due to medical issues. Some are very serious and life threatening. So it's important to rule out any medical issues first. Here is a great site about it: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthr...

Cats need their space. So you can try a larger litter box, or get another one. I use large plastic storage containers and use plenty of litter and keep the boxes clean. Here is an example of the type of box, but you can get them for 10$ at walmart or target or shopko. They have a large one that is low and long: http://www.stacksandstacks.com/clear-sto...

If it is behavioral, it's likely due to anxiety and territory issues and there are things you can try that include Feliway plug-ins and spray. It didn't work for my cat who sprays so he is on an anti-anxiety drug. Of the many drugs he's tried, only one really works well, clomipramine. But you have to be committed and follow through. Here is information about medications:

Good luck. And get yourself some pet enzyme to wash or soak the areas that get peep on. It helps with the odor. Here is a list of products: http://www.nextag.com/enzyme-pet-odor-re...

  4. First of all, as long all of them are sterilized, they should not have the urge to mark.

When male cats spray it goes sideways against walls or items, they don't just pee on the floor.

Urinating outside of the litter box is usually the first sign of urinary tract infection.  Get all 3 tested.  If they all come back healthy, then you may need to get more litter boxes.  It's recommended by experts that you have one litter box for each cat + 1.  So you actually need a minimum of 4.

  5. Get them fixed if they aren't already!!

    Gosh.

And also, if you do figure out which one it is, take it to the vet because it may have a urinary tract infection or something like that.

AND NO! Don't get another cat if you can't make the three you have pee in the litterbox.

  6. NEUTER AND SPAY YOUR CATS
