My male parakeet is doing something weird help?

I have 1 male and one female parakeet and he sometimes stands with his wings cupped(like a eagle how they stand with their wings)

Is something wrong with him or is he just in the mood for a lover?

Birds will do that, when they are hot, and want to cool down.  Don't ever put them outside in the cage, in the sun.  Maybe your house is too warm.

He's either displaying his manly physique,he's feeling too warm,or he's feeling distressed. Make sure that the pair are getting along and that the female is not being too aggressive.

And make sure your birds don't sit in too much sunlight all day so they don't get overheated.

He might be feeling ready to do something like breeding. You should add a nest. Or maybe he needs more attention. YOu should play with him as much as you could. Every parakeet should be let free in the house for at least 30 mmin.

simple. your bird is feeling frisky. but if there is any question in your mind about something being wrong with your bird call a vet. they will be able to answer your questions better then people online.
