  1. 'In heat' is the cutsey term for the ovulating process of a female. Males do not ovulate, thus not in heat.

Just because an animal humps has nothign at all to do with being in heat. Females never hunmp when in heat for example.

Your rabbit is humping to display dominance. He is sexually mature, which means all his hormones are acting up, and he instinctfully has the need to breed as well as compete for dominance. Since there are no female rabbits, he is not inticed to breed, but still is dominant. Males will also start peeing every where to mark their territory. He will also probably get more aggressive and may bite you.

    NEUTER HIM!

Neutering him will not only make him a lot more pleasant for you to have, but will be benefiting him as well. There are many illnesses which can develop in rabbits only through the existance of intact hormones. After you neuter, he will be able to live a longer, healthier and happier life.

  2. Only females get in heat its in possible for males to be.In heat mean that they can have babies and tht it may mean they can be horny.Just to let you know if it is humpimh your leg get a females rabbit so u can have  babies

  3. bunnies do not go in heat. they are awlays ready. i'd judt push him away.

  4. Male rabbits don't come into ''heat'' he is probably reaching puberty if he is around 5 months to a year then this is when a male rabbit can become, aggressive and can mount things or people. He should grow out of this,if he is older than the age stated above or does not grow out of it the only way to overcome this is to have him, neutered. Or when he mounts an object or yourself, spray him with a water spray as he shouldn't like this at all. Hope this helps.

  5. Rabbits don't go through 'heat'... when they are old enough to breed, then that is what they will want to do. I strongly recommend that you have him neutered soon. He will be a much better and healthier pet.  Rabbits can get pretty aggressive and sometimes get just plain mean if they aren't allowed to breed and aren't neutered.

    Good luck with Romeo Rabbit!

  6. Because rabbits have sexual needs just the same as dogs do, or any other animal. Except with rabbits the sexual need maybe a bit more needy, considering the phrase people often use "they multiply like rabbits". It might be too late for him to get neutred though, because up to a certain age will it work psychologically.
