I have three japanese maple, all which seems to be frying up, parts of leafs are dead, dried, etc and one of the have white looking sap growin out of it. They are 5 months old and are a foot+ high. They have around 6-8 hours of direct sunlight and around 1-2 cups of water per day. Also I live in zone 5, warm-hot weather right now. The pots are 6'' high and 5'' across.

Should I repot, give more water, less sunlight??? Need any advice. The soil mixture is 1 part potting soil and 1 part moss for tress.

  1. they need to be planted in partial shade and watered more

  2. Is it bending tword the sun?

  3. Reduce sunlight and spray with a fungicide. It could be due to burning, but it could also be a mould infection.
