My memorex 16X DVD+R Discs to play in my home...

Question

I have been burning movies on my laptop computer Toshiba but the 16X+R Discs won't play in any of my players. I even went and bought a ne Sony DVD player that says it will play them but it doesn't. In fact I can't get the DVD recorded discs to play in any of my friends players either. Can you help?
