My memory card is full after 20 pictures ??

Question

i have a canon sd 750 camera and its 7.1 mega pixels. my memory card is SD memory card SDC-32M which i guess is supposed to hold 500-1000 pictures ??? well after taking 20 pictures, my memory is full. help!!!

The 32M is 32 MB. That isn't a lot of memory foro 7.1 megapixels.

What fhotoace said.  Your 32 M card will not hold more than 20 pics.

In fact I'm a bit surprised you were able to squeeze 20 pictures out of it, my starter card (same as yours) held only 10 pictures.

You must be on "economy" settings.

As mentioned, get yourself a couple 2 gig cards.

Well, it usually says how much memory is on the SD card on the label.  Locate the SD card and it usually says how much memory potential it has.  (1 GB and 516 MB is average)  If it has a reletivily high amount, firmware could be taking up alot of space.  (For example, my 2 GB CF card has 1.86 GB potential.)  I would call technical support for both the card and the camera.

Well there is a simple solution: get a bigger memory card! 32 MB is nothing! 512 MB should give you around 300 pictures or more, depending on file size. If you want even more go for a 1 G or 2 G. They're pretty cheap and well worth it.

It is only 32 mb?  That is nothing.  20 is just about right.

Buy a couple of 2GB memory cards and you will be able to take photos to your hearts content.  Last weekend two packs of 2GB SD cards were on sale for $20

You can get a 2 gb card for about 20 bucks now. Anything under 1 gb is practically obsolete.

32mb's At 7 Megapixels Won't Hold 500-1000 pictures..

the card they give you with the camera is just a factory standard, it's not meant to be used throughout the whole life of the camera. you're right, it should take around twenty photos, after that, you'll have to put them onto your computer, or print them.

if you want to take more pictures, you'll have to get a higher capacity card. Don't worry, they aren't expensive, around twenty dollars for a 512MB card, which can hold around one hundred and fifty, if you want more, you should get a 1GB card, Or perhaps a 2GB card.

You can get them anywhere cameras are sold, walmart, target, whever. They'll sell them. Personally, i prefer walmart, because they are a little cheaper than the other guys.
