My micro sd wont fit in my phone?

hi i have lg shine! and i got a micro sd card PNY it wont fit in my phone. yes my phone has a micro sd slot it just wont fit why??

first try putting the card in the way you think it goes. If that doesn't work, turn it upside down and make sure the little gold things on the end are going into the phone cause you might be putting it in backwards
