My microwave isn't working properly. ?

I just moved into a new apartment and now my microwave is weird. Its quieter now and cooks much slower. It sounds as if its powering on normally but then gets eerily quiet and cooks at about half pace. Is this a problem with the amount of power supplied through the wall socket?

Unless the voltage of the supply is different (unlikely) the shock of moving has damaged some internal parts. Test the microwave for leaking heat by running it as normal with food being cooked inside, but after some short time see if you can feel the heat on the outside.

If so scrap it. New microwaves are cheep and the cost of repairs almost as much as a new one. The condition described above is dangerous and it should not be allowed to persist for more than a few minutes, Do you want to be cooked too!
