it was working fine and then it just suddenly stopped heating stuff up, it will turn and the light is on and all it just doesn't heat anything up.

Is this meaning it will not work again? can I fix it, will it cost a ton to have it fixed? thanks,

  1. If it is a counter top model go buy new, and you can not repair yourself unless you the knowledge to repair, I have fix thousands over 25 years and it requires the right tools and the right knowledge. The high voltage capacitor holds a charge even with the appliance is unplugged. The high voltage transformer put out 4800 volts, you need a 10k ohm meter to check the high volt diode. It does not heat is it a low volt problem or a high volt problem. This is the one appliance that can kill you stay out please!

  2. If it is still under warranty, then you can get a refund.

If it is past warranty, then you might want to consider a new microwave. It will be cheaper than repairing it.

  3. Looks like it's time for a new one.

  4. Take the s***w out of the top and down the sides , this should allow you to remove the top and sides ,now lookaround and you should find a grey fuse that might be bad . replace it.
