My midwife said that there was something in my waters L something but know protien dont know what she means?

hat did midwife mean when she found something in my urine begining with L but know protien strange question but dont know what she means and forgot to ask her

  1. Was it leukocytes? They are white blood cells used for fighting infection. They are usually present if you have (or have just got over) a urinary tract infection. I would drink as much water as you can (within reason!). You can usually flush one out that way.


  2. hard to say without knowing what it was she found in your urine.

    If she isn't sending you for further tests, or isn't concerned in any way, then neither should you be.

  3. Leuks i beleive it is. if she was not concerned dont worry about it. iv had traces of it myself no concerns.

  4. It is leucocyctes (unsure of spelling) it can mean along with protein you could have a urine infection, but she must not be concerned if there was no protein, its nothing to worry about but possilbly drink plenty of fluids incase this were to turn into an infection xx
