My mini dv camcorder is driving me crazy !!!?

Question

the head got dirty,i've cleaned it with the cleaning tape...i run it 10 seconds & stopped (just like the instructions says) & it was cleaned...i've used it for 1 day,& toward the end of day it become dirty again....should i use the cleanin tape again for more than 10 seconds or what ....i've heard that using that tape repeatedly may ruin the head down !!....help please...

PS: i'm using (for recording) JVC casettes for my PANASONIC mini dv...does this have sth to do with it ?!!

clean the heads a couple of 3 times using the tape.  Just make sure you stop in between cleanings.  Try using the same make of tape every time you shoot.  Each manufacturer uses a different lubricant for their tape and mixing them can be problematic... dry lube vs wet lube...etc.

also try using new tapes instead of continually reusing old tapes.

You may just have a dirty tape - using JVC in a Panasonic camcorder shouldn't matter.
