My mobile phone fell in the water what do i do ?

What do i do Omg i liked the phone so much LOL It was a Pink Flip Phone and the brand is LG And i dropped it in the bath tub by accident i quickly got it out and it still worked but this red light at the bottom of the phone was on and i dont no how it turned on and i couldnt turn it off and ive never seen that light before and when i flipped up the phone it still worked my wallpaper came up so then i woke up went to school came home opened the phone and the screen was black i pressed the buttons nothing happens ?

And i had no money left on my phone Lol no more credit in it but i dont no what happened will my phone still worked ? it doesnt work now and i dropped it in the water yesterday ??

why it doesnt it work how can i get it to work ?

Normally when water gets into the phone it can cause a shortage and make your screens blank and keys unresponsive.  Some people have had success leaving the phone flipped open and in a warm dry area to allow it to dry over a period of days. (Can take up to 3-4 weeks)  As far as the red light goes I am not sure why it has come on.  I know on the inside of your phone there are stickers that turn red after they contact water.

The water may have gotten into the circuits.

(1) IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!

(2) As soon as possible (preferably within 20-30 minutes). dissassemble the phone using Torx T6 screwdriver. (Get this off eBay or service depots, etc) Make an emergency trip to Sears/RadioShack/ACE/service depot/etc.

(3) Clean/dry as much as you can, using Q-Tips

(4) Dry the electronics components under a desk lamp on a paper towel for 24 hours.

(5) Use a blow dryer, set on warm. Blow dry the phone. Make sure your battery and sim card are out of the phone.

(6) Put phone in rice for 24 hours with sim/battery out of phone

(7) Reassemble the phone

(8) Put back together

(9) Only now it's safe to put the battery back in.

You can also leave the battery and sim out. Leave your phone out in the sun. Let it dry.
