My mobile phone network have changed there pricing, can i cancel it?

i currently have a contract with 3 months left on it with 3, and now i have a letter saying they are going to round up call times and charge for statements

can i cancel my contract with them because they have altered it?

  2. Afraid not, the cell phone companies reserve the right to change the terms of the contract as they see fit. It says it all in the fine print.

You absolutely can, because my partner and I have done exactly that.  We are also with 3 and my partner was told during a phone call that they were increasing their charges for non-direct debit payments.  We argued that it was an unfair variation of our contracts, and because of that we had a right to cancel.  Customer Services rejected this, but we didn't accept that.  We contacted the press office (their number's on the website).  They rang my partner and told him to expect a call from the Chief Executive's Office.  The CEO rang us and agreed that we were right.  We cancelled the contracts, .giving 30 days notice, and received our letters this morning confirming this.  You have to go via customer services first as the press office won't deal with you till then.  Hope this helps.
