My modem seems to be turning itself off and then turning back on in 10-15 minutes, why would it do that?

Like twice a day my modem will randomly turn off for like 10-15 minutes and then come back on. Not completely off though like 2 of the little lights stay on but the rest go off for a while. Then they come back on. So my internet gets knocked out for a while when I'm in the middle of stuff. I don't touch it or any of the wires. What do you think is wrong with it and can it be fixed?

Do you have cable or DSL?  Sounds like a bad signal, defective modem, or the modem is overheating.

Check the simplest thing first - make sure there aren't things sitting on your modem and that it has enough air circulation/ventelation.

I had something like that with Cox Cable and it was a bad Digital TV filter on our line that got wet.  Cox replaced it and that cured the problem.

Call your ISP, if it's the modem having problems they're the ones that need to find/fix the problem.
