Im 17 years old,and i have all of my grown up teeth.Recently my top and bottom and top molars have been hurting (not the molar itself, but the gum underneath it,and the molar as well). The hurting goes through my molars all the way to my 2 pointy teeth, that's how far the hurting goes. It's been happening for a couple of days.It started a couple of days. What could this be?Any ideas?Any dentists out there that can help me out.Thank you.

  1. Simply that you are well on your way to adulthood, and are most likely experiencing the pain and discomfort we all get from our wisdom teeth arriving. Hang in there, but you'll need a dentist pretty soon I should think. In the mean time try motrin or advil, just make sure you follow the recommended dose for adults and take with some food in your belly. Good Luck, and don't worry-everyone goes through this.

  2. Maybe it is your wisdom teeth starting to put pressure on your other teeth. Have you had them out yet?

    > Whenever you next dental appt. is tell them about it. I'm fairly certain they'd notice anyway by X-rays how far along they are. Most people have wisdom teeth, and in a lot of cases there is some sort of issue that arises. I know when I was in high school there were a few people that had to get them removed.
