Well it kind of is. My mom's 43 my dad's 44. They told us yesterday that their having twins (I heard it's a high possibility for women her age). They only have me and my older brother. I'm 16 he's 22. Isn't it such a huge age gap to have kids?! I'm not saying it's wrong. I get to big a big sister! But yeah. Their somewhat oldies...I guess.

  1. Yeah, that is a big gap. I don't want any of my children to be more than a few years apart.

    Surprises happen though! :]

She is a little older, that is how old my grandma was when she had my mom, my mom said she did not like having old parents.

Congrats on being an older sister!

  2. There's a 13, 17, and 20 year gap between my brothers, sister, and I.

To be honest, I feel I get along better with them than I would have had we been closer in age.

  3. I wasn't much younger than you when my mum fell pregnant with my two sisters.  Your parents are going to rely on you to be supportive and help them out during this time as this experience is going to be very scary and daunting for them.

Don't forget - they haven't HAD babies for 16 years, so this is like learning everything all over again

  4. You are going to love being the BIG sister!!!!

My dad and mom divorced and my dad had a baby with his new wife he was 48 years old and she was 42 I have a handsome little brother now who I adore its so much fun! My step moms pregnany went just fine.

I was 16 when my baby brother was born.

So now he is 7 years old he has a

    23 year old sister

    21 year old brother

    19 year old brother

    18 year old sister

I thought the same thing about my dad though because my brother and I were already in highschool and he was having a new baby but it worked out great!

Congrats on having new twin siblings!!

  5. if this was me I would look at this as a good thing you can get a lot of work in with your brothers or sisters or brother and sister what ever the s*x is with them you will it good luck to you and yourparentss.

  6. my uncle and i are the same age. my mom and him are 19 years apart

  7. Im sure your worried about your moms health, i would be but as long as she takes care of her self and you help her out a lot she should be fine. A lot of women are waiting until that age to have babies these days because of career obligations and stuff so your moms not that rare of a case these days!!! Congrats big sis!!!

  8. I don't have a large age gap between my siblings, but my friends do and they think it's fine. Congratulations!

  9. one i would edit your question because it is a question, and 2 some people will report you just by reading your title as you are suppose to ask a question.

To your question, its a bit of a gap and if they were planning on enjoying these years as the good years after you and your brother moved out they have to start all over again, but im sure they will need your love and support and someone to help out so be supportive and help your mom through this as not only is her age a factor but carrying twins will be a new experiece!!

  10. congrats ! to you,brother and your parents !

  11. they can do it they will just be high risk and quite old when there little twins go to college

  12. yea but the twins will look up to you and you brother....

    your gonna love them

    congrats its a blessing

  13. Yeah its a gape. My aunt has two sons.... 38 and 33. She has a daughter that just turned 3.

  14. I was 14 and 15 when my two youngest sisters were born and while it is a huge age gap we all turned out ok....(my dad got remarried and had decided to try for those boys he always wanted....lol....he ended up with 4 girls!)

  15. It's a big gap.  My older kids were 14 and 10 when I had my 3rd, and it will be a huge adjustment for everyone.  Don't  be too hard on your parents. The risks for complications do go up a little when you're over 40, but lots of women have given birth to happy, healthy babies at that age!

  16. yes, it is a big gap, but it is what it is.   you will enjoy the twins so much.  older parents don't make the same mistakes as younger ones do.  they have learned and gained so much knowledge from their experience.  and just think, you will already be experienced when you have a child.  i had a brother when i was 13.  it does not seem like a big age gap in the older years.  congratulations!!

    enjoy!!!

  17. I am having a baby in a few weeks and his older brother is 12yrs old. It is a big difference and I think they won't get to be as close as sibling that are born closer together.  I am also 30.  I had my first a little young. If they are able to do this and handle it then they should go for it. Also remember that will take attention off you and then you can do more!!
