My mom cut her finger about 1/4 what can he hospital do?

im really scared and the only detals she told me is she cut it with a knife about 1/4 throught and that its not throught the bone i was wondering what the hospital can do??

Tell her to get a dry cloth and wrap it around her finger and apply pressure. If she goes to the hospital they can stitch it, or theres even this skin glue that they can use in replacement of stitches now. She will be fine though, dont worry. Its not fun at all, but Hospitals deal with these sorts of things all the time. The important thing is that it doesnt get infected. If she can, tell her to run it under cold water for a few seconds and apply some antiseptic before she wraps it.

The hospital will clean it out and close the wound with stitch's.   There may be a small possibility that she cut a nerve. If she can still move and feel her finger then there isn't anything to worry about.

they will just clean it and maybe stitch it.  personally (and i've done this before) i would just clean it well and wrap some gauze around it, be certain to apply enough pressure so that the cut is held together.  change the bandage often and maybe add some neosporin to it when it isn't bleeding profusely anymore.  she'll be fine.  hardly anyone ever died of a finger cut.
