My mom cut her finger while cutting raw pork..what should we do??

She cut right under her fingernail....she's already squeezed out as much blood as she could, and washed her finger. What else should we do? Should we be worried about any disease?

Don't Put it under water cause it won't stop bleeding.

Apply rubbing alcohol to prevent infection and apply a bandage.  Change bandage regularly.  If infection occurs see a doctor immediately.

Pork is no longer the infectious agent that it once was but any knife wound is to be considered serious.

As long as the pork did not reach a temperature of 41 degrees or higher, the risk of any infection is minimal, as the animals that end up in the food chain are not likely to contain any diseases that may be transmitted.

Make sure she washed with warm water and a disinfecting or antiseptic agent.

clean it out wvery night and put clean band-aids on it every so often it should be fine just be very careful do that it does not get infected

worms from pork come from eating it.  You can't get them from a cut.
