my mom doesnt know how to punish our dog when she does bad things? how am i supposed to tell her its a good thing???

i told her shes being a p***y for not doing anything to her, and if she does its for less than 30 seconds...(she basically spoils her, like her kids..yeah i know im somewhat spoiled)

am i right when our dog bites(goes ape shiot), and eats plastic to put her away for a few minutes? until she calms down..?

if not can you tell me what i SHOULD do when our dog bites and does other things bad?

thanks so much:)

  1. WOW...I think maybe she has no energy left to discipline the dog after trying to deal with you.  You really called your mom that?

  2. I think it's ok to do a "time out" when you dog is acting up, like putting her in another room as punishment. You or your mom need to be the boss or the dog will take over.

I've seen people pick up their dogs when they've been bad and I think to myself, now that dog knows to bite or whatever when it wants attention/affection.

Go with your mom to an obedience class and maybe she'll realize she's not helping the dog by giving it so much freedom, she's just making it a pest.

  3. well...when she snaps.yelp and then fold your arms, and ignore her.until she gets the idea not to snap at you, keep doing this.give her love when she's nice.

    and about your dog...joking...joking...

no more sleeping in bed with mom.no more table scraps.more tricks need to be taught to keep her occupied.a daily walk.

    always remember these rules.

    discipline

    and affection.

  4. When your mom doesn't do it, you can go and do it. =D

Or you can discipline your mom lol

  5. Well just like you your dog has not been shown the right way to talk or behave or you would not dare show such disrespect as to call your mom a p***y.As for your dog it behaves this way because its the only way to get attention. If it  is eating plastic such as empty water bottles keep them off the floor put them in the trash.Or if you are to lazy to do that take it away tell the dog "NO" do not hit do not scream a firm "NO" is all that is needed then always show the dog what is acceptable to chew, such as any toys for it that should be around givinguse. In this way you are not only showing the dog what is wrong but you are giveing him thebehavioro what is right and althat's.As for putting the dog away to correct a bad behaviour you can see how well thats been working for you.You have to show the dog what is allowed not just what is wrong.Tilks Mom
