My mom dont like me for who i am?

my mom is great,but some times she says stuff to me that herts.also so hates the way i talk the wayi act ect....and i feel like running away i need some help.

Some times Mothers forget to use tact when speaking to their own children.You could approach her and say I know you mean well mom but sometimes I need a compliment sandwich rather than just the meat. I need to hear nice things to to soften the blow.

Let her know that you understand she is trying to help you and you value her opinion highly but she is sometimes very harsh with her feed back to you.

Are you able to talk to your mother and tell her how you feel? Tell her that the way she treats you makes you feel unloved. Sometimes parents are not completely aware of how their words can sting a young person.

Me too. My mom doesn't like the way I dress & stuff. It's okay though. She will learn to accept you for who you are. I mean, you were made from her! I think a lot of parents just want their kids to follow their footsteps & stuff. We're young, and we're just trying to find ourselves. But, don't run away, that's just stupid, because your mom is not abusing you or anything. My parents are divorced, & my mom says things that hurt sometimes too, but I know that she loves me :). Your mom loves you too.
