My mom found out she had lupus. what exactly is it. I'm really scared for her, could she die from it?

She is 43. in very good shape. Her body gets red and she get fevers. she has bad back problems.

this thing goes with medication but it is never 100% cured she have to stay under surveillance in case the situation comes back again and every time it comes back the medication will take it away ... so don't worry but stay alerted.
