My mom gave me her car because she got a new one, but she stills drives the old car even when I need it. Help!

Okay, my mom gave me her 93 Mazda protege when she got her new Toyota Camry because it was a piece of junk. It was over heating, it leaked when it rained and a tail light was busted. The first thing I did was fix it. Cost me more than the car is worth to fix it, but we've had it since forever and it has relatively low mileage. Anyway, my mom locks her brand new Camry up in the garage and drives my car (which drives like a dream, now) every where. She takes it to work, shopping, errands, everything and the car is never there when I need it. She doesn't even put gas in it. I even had to take it for NYS inspection (which it failed and I had to pay to fix) and I pay the insurance for both of us on the car. Am I being a b**ch for telling her to ask for permission to use my car or is my mom finally wrong for once?

  1. Well...I don't think that you are being a ***** about it, but just as long as you are paying for absolutely everything....and I mean ABSOLUTELY everything.

  2. First off I am laughing because now you know how your mother

has felt all these years when you have done this to her. Secondly

I must say that if you are paying to all this repair work and gas etc

yes I would say it would be common courtesy to ask or alternately

when she takes your car tell her you will have to use the Camry because you have appointments to keep. I would be ok if it was once in awhile but if I was paying everything I would get a little choked.

  3. learn to understand some basic knowledge of your confused field before accepting any suggestion is a great idea. Here is great place to get start.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...

  4. uhm, if what you are saying is the truth then your mum is finally wrong.

She's wrong at keeping her new car in the garage too, one day it will not start and although I don't know the Toyota Camry there's a big chance she won't be able to move it unless she forks out some money for a mechani to come to the rescue.

  5. Well, if the title is in her name and she pays for the insurance, it's her car.  I would leave the gas tank empty for her, and I would not pay for the inspection, and start looking for my "own" car.....On the other hand if the title is in your name, and you have your own insurance, I would have the locks changed (very easily available and cheap from a salvage yard for a car that old) and not give her a key. But, I think there is more to this story though.
