My mom got a ticket about one month ago and...?

she decided to do community service instead of paying. Her deadline is Tuesday, September 4, 2007. She has to complete 8 or 12 hours... I think. She forgot about it and does not know what to do. The deadline is Tues. Do you think is possible for her to pay tuesday (deadline) the amount she owes? Can they give her an extension? Or must she go, even though she won't be able to complete all her hours? Do I make sense...i'm confusing myself.

Most likely since she failed to comply with the court, she will have to go back before the judge and receive a harsher sentence

im not with a court but you make sense.  she should contact the court and ask them.  it shows shes making an effort even though she missed it.

tell her to be very appologetic.

Your mother should go back to the court, explain the situation and either request an extension of time or payment of the original fine.

It would be good if she could show some community service prior to Tuesday.
