My mom has had this account in my name for several years and I knew about, I was just to young to do anything about it. Now that I am older I understand what she is doing is wrong because now the card is delinquent and has gone to a collection agency, I mean its only about $500 but I dont want to have to pay it, I have never used it, I have never gave her consent to use it. I just want to know if it could be switched over in her name without out things getting out of hand!

  1. File a dispute with the credit reporting agencies. In the dispute, say you did not open the card and never used it. You do not have to say your mom did, just that you did not. It is then up to them to respond and either prove it is your debt or they will have to remove it from your file within 30 days. Remember to file the disputes with all three agencies.

and if you were underage when it was opened, you need to tell them that, because there is no way they can make you responsible if that is the case. Good luck!

  2. to late... they're  out of hand and you need to do something drastic instantly.  Do not delay in taking action with the credit card company and possibly against your mom.

  3. That is difficult; Switching.

Thing you should sit and talk to her. Or talk to a professional about it.

But is best to take it away from her, pay off and rid it so interest does not keep adding. Talk to the concerned Credit people about how you could end it.

Otherwise it will go against you and your credit.
