  1. Look up the meaning of recessive genes. That will explain it best.

    Or ---next time you say hi to the milk man, make sure you look him in HIS greenish eyes. lol

  2. because you got a recessive blue and a recessive green gen from your parents.

  3. You were adopted! JKJK. Do your grandparents have blue or green eyes. It's a recessive gene. Both of your parents carried the gene together they brought it out in you.

  4. idk...one of my friens has the excacr same thing....kinda wierd, huh?

  5. maybe your granny or ur aunts have the same type of eyes.it can be that you follow them.

  6. oh, your mum's and dad's recessive genes must have come together, sweetheart(:

    your grandparents' eyes, did you see them? at least one of them would have green or blue eyes;

  7. hehe that is so cool. Brown eyes are a dominant gene and everyone who has a gene for brown eyes has brown eyes basically. Obviously your parents both have a Brown eye gene then. But they must also have a blue-green or a blue or a green gene. Let's say your moms genes are capital B for brown eyes and little b for blue eyes and your dad's gene's are capital B for brown eyes and little g for green eyes. Bb and Bg, both with brown eyes. You get one gene from each parent so you could have ended up with BB (brown eyes), Bg (brown eyes), Bb (brown eyes) or bg (green eyes, or in your cases greenish-blue). There is only a 1 in 4 chance of this which is why your brothers have brown eyes (they are the 3 in 4 chance people) but that is so cool how your eyes are different from your family. It must look kinda cool in family photos.

    Recessive genes can be passed along for generations without showing up, like all your grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins could have brown eyes but pretty much all them would have that recessive gene somewhere.

  8. You were born lucky like me & my girls. 2D

  9. If you look back to your ancestors, your greenish blue eyes might have been inherited from your 5th grandfather!

    Genes...

  10. Then you should go get a DNA check up... if you know what I mean... I would be curious if I had that problem.

  11. The gene for brown eyes is dominant, but somewhere in your family tree someone had greenish blue eyes and you and your brothers lucked out!

  12. You inherited a recessive gene. Green and blue eyes are likely recessive hereditary traits in your bloodline. Maybe  one of your grandparents or great grands have similar colored eyes.

    and because your patents had more than one kid, the gene was allowed to exhibit itself within you. It's like having red hair in an all blonde family.
