My mom has toenail fungus?

My mom always wants me to give her a pedicure even though she knows i have a foot phobia(don't ask i just don't like feet i think they are gross) she insist anyways. Well now she has something growing under her toenails i suspect its toenail fungus. I have heard that toe nail fungus is very contagious and you can get it even touching it with your hands(i knwo i know ew). I have told my mom but she doesn't believe me she thinks i just dont want to touch her feet but its i dont want to contract toenail fungus. How do i convince her i am telling the truth about her toenail fungus?

I have the same problem with my toe nails. I've never heard that it's "catchy" though.   A foot doctor can prescribe meds for the problem. I have stuff and it's clearing it up for me quite nicely. It can be cured.

look up pics of fungus in teh internet and show them to her, see if they are similar, or get an appointment with a chiropist

or if you really hate it , a voucher for a pedicure in a beauty salon.    if you dont want to rub grebby feet dont. :-)

Tell her to use tea tree oil on the nails - it will clear it right up.

The simple way is to search the internet for a picture with a similar condition your mom has and show it to her.

The more difficult way is to persuade her to go to the mycology department where the doctors could identify the possible toenail fungus that you are so scared about. They will run some tests and find the best medical strategy to cure it.

Hello mom !  Seems your child is kinda scared of your possible condition. If you get to read this please consider the possibility of  seeing a doctor.

Toe nail fungus is contagious!  Nail fungus can certainly spread, seeking out warm, moist places.  Pedicures with unclean tools are a great way to share infections.
