My mom hates any reptiles besides turtles. how can i convince her to let me get a lizard or snake?

i really really want one. i have a turtle already and i want more pets. i do tons of research before i even think about actually going and buying one. i need to convince her to let me get a snake or another type of reptile. anybody know some good ways to try to? ive begged her for about a month and she still wont let me. thanks

first of all PLEASE dont listen to the get the snake now and deal with parents later answer.  if there is a privately owned exotic store near you (not petco or petsmart) then you could try getting your mom to go to the pet store with you.  the employees are usually more than willing to take snakes out and let you see them and let your mom see them and get close.  the employees might even let you hold one of the snakes yourself.  once your mom sees that they are ok and that they don't bite usually maybe she will let you get one eventually.  it may take more than one trip to the store to "convince her".   just be patient.

you will probably have to go to a privately owned pet store for this...the employees at petco and petsmart wont let you handle snakes that they have.  and you wouldn't want to even if they did the snakes there are usually not very healthy.

tell her you will take care of it every day, and she wont even have to think about it.

its easy to care for, and even little girls like me (12) can do it.

tell her it will be easy, and it is good for you to take responsibility for things at a young age.

Just get what you want and bring it home and deal with parents later. my dad told me no pets. I now have 2 ball pythons, 1 beardie, 2 sav monitors, 1 tego, 1 nile. he cant do to much about it lol. + if you get a nice one and is tame maybe she will grow on it. My step dad said I couldn't keep a 5 1/2 foot red tail boa at his house and I brang it there for about 2 hours and he ended up just buying it off me for 20 more then I paid 1 day earlier lol.
