  1. my understanding is that your mom and dad are being sponsored by a sibling?  if your sibling is a us citizen and sponsoring your parents, your parents will get their greencards right away. (your parents are immediate family of a us citizen).  but for you, it will take a while longer than your parents because you are in the fourth category (us citizen sibling sponsoring an adult sibling).

check this website and you'll know what i am talking about "categories":

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bullet...

and check back monthly.  as you scroll down, the first table you see is what i am talking about. the date you see next to the categories is what is called "priority date." this date is the date that whoever sponsored you submitted their application to sponsor you and when immigration received the application.

as you can see from the table, the fourth category (which you are in) will take a long time (about 11-15 years wait (from the time your sibling submitted the application)...and much longer if you're from the philipines).

a faster way is for your mom or dad to sponsor you once they have their greencards.  this would put you in category 2b (greencard sponsoring 21 and over child).  if you're not from philipines nor mexico, the wait is 10 years or so (priority date of nov 1, 99.  but once the parent that is sponsoring you becomes a us citizen (in about 5 years), your petition will jump from category 2b to category 1 (us citizen sponsoring adult children) and the wait is about 6-7 years, as they are on March 15, 02 (again, assuming you're not from mexico nor the philipines).

but let me tell you, that these dates don't go up nicely in months (gov updates this webpage monthly).  the dates can go backwards or stay in the same position for months...

and when you're being sponsored, you yourself don't automatically get a visa to stay.  when you turn 21 (assuming you're 19 or 20 now, the visa that your parents have, will no longer apply to you.  you have to remain in status whether it be an international student, or H1B visa for work.

once your priority date becomes current, then you will be able to adjust status to greencard holder.

if you cannot wait that long, the next best thing is to marry a us citizen...

good luck, and check back monthly on that webpage i gave you.
