My mom is getting jealous of my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time together, but I don't spend any less time with my family than I did before we started dating. Just recently my mom has been getting really jealous and saying I'm not home as much as I used to be. She even started crying. I have a feeling this is just a preface to my leaving for college in a week. Should I feel bad or should I just assume that she'd be like this regardless since her "baby" is going to college?

I think you must give a relieve, ask your boyfriend to meet you in once a week in a period and don't waste saturday and sundays with him but your family instead in a whole month or so - see how your mom's reaction.  In the meantime with your family, learn them about you and your future, bit by bit stories so they will have allertness that in forthcoming years you will have to be given your own decision sooner or later.  Say also that you will always be the same old you even distance brings you apart..
