My mom is having her 40th, do you have any suggestions for her party?

SHe loves camping and karaoke, so I booked a hall at a campground, and now im inviting everyone,I have everything planned for the place and schedule, but I wonder about the cake and decorations and ect.any ideas to make this party sweet?

ps.she is a 20 year old stuck in a 40 year olds body!

Decorate with pictures of hot young guys (clothed).  Can you have someone dress as her favorite singer (or something like that)?  

You might want to get a picture of her when she was little and have it blown up to use as placemats or a background for the kareoke stage.

You are a good kid to be doing this for your mother.

if you don't want to have a party for her, just take her to dinner, give her some flowers, do like a poster that say "i love you mom" somehting like that...and tell the people in the restaurant to sing the happy b day song for her only if thats allowed in the restaurant.

She's my type of momma!!! I'll be the big 40 soon. Just not saying how soon :) I also enjoy karaoke.

See if a baker can design a cake out of a microphone since she likes karaoke...

However, I wish you would have provided more details about the venue you've rented. Will there be round tables, long tables?, and although she love karaoke, would your mom rather have people dancing & partying the night away or singing all night.  With that being said; I wouldn't have karaoke all night; maybe the first 1 1/2 then let the partying begin...faras her enjoying camping. For decoration place lanterns on the tables as center pieces. Although she has a young spirit; still keep it simple and classy.

But is she built like 20 year old?  I know what you mean here.  Considers what she is into.  If she really wants to relive her youthful days, have an 80's theme party.  Get a yearbook from her high school days and make your hair all big!
