My mom is so f*cking strict about my hair.?

I'm a guy, alright, kind of young, but I know how to at least groom myself.

My mom lets me have front side swept bangs, but she doesn't let me grow the back or my side bangs AT ALL. She doesn't even let me have my side bangs cover my ears so I look normal. She thinks it's considered "long hair", but when my front bangs get uber long she doesn't care or notice at all. My side bangs come up BEHIND my ears, i look so f*cking stupid, and the back is short.

What the h**l do I say to her?

If i keep arguing with her she actually turns violent.

its your hair, you should just cut it, schedule a secret appt at the barbers or just do it yourself when your mom is not around. She will be angry, but she cant do anything about it once its done. I mean, you should feel comfortable with your hair.
