My mom is so strict?

my mom is so strict im 16 and she does not want me to have a boyfriend right now she thinks i am too young. i am a stright a student who does well in school and i been with my bf for 11 months now and i really do like him. my mom wont even let me hang out with him or go to the movies or talk to him on the phone..she say school comes first and it does but i can be with my bf and do well in school what should i do

Explained she raised you right and school does come first.  Tell her that you agree that if your grades drop you will stop seeing him outside of school.  Also tell her that a lot of your peers at this age are looking for ways to get around their parents but you want to be honest with her and not be sneaky.  You know she has your best interests at heart, but you need to be given some responsibility to learn and grow from life.  Maybe he can come over to your house to hang out and you guys can watch movies there...

I am not allowed to date untill i am 17 and even than i am not allowed but your mom is like every mom  in the world maybe ask her is it ok if you go on a group date or a double date

I'm 18 and my mom still doesn't like when I go on single dates with my bf. So, I compromise with her. I tell her I will go on dates with another couple I am really good friends with. As for her not wanting you to date, you are 16 and you will be an adult in two years. If you don't get age appropriate freedom now, you wont know how to handle yourself when you do move out and get more freedom than you are used to. I agree with the other users that say telling your mom if your grades drop, you wont see your bf out of school. Its all about compromise and talking calmly.Good luck!!!!
