I don't know what they are made of probably cotton or something they are just casual day dresses, but she is washing them in cold water and hang drying but they still shrink!

There was one I bought like a month ago for 30 dollars that I wore once then she washed. I packed it in my suitcase for Spain and when I put it on it was at least 3 inches shorter and I couldn't wear it. I bought another dress in Spain for 15 Euro and then I wore it 3 days ago in Madrid, now I'm home and she washed it and it is at least 3 inches shorter and I can't wear it! This is like 50 dollars worth of dresses which is 6 hours of working for me!

  1. Wash them yourself or make sure you buy pre shrunk fabrics.

If you are old enough to travel to Spain and work you are old enough to be doing your own laundry and not use your mother as an unpaid servant.

  2. Try washing them yourself...lol.....It might just be that the fabric is shrinking no matter what your mom is doing,  I have found this to happen and somehow it is always the length that is effected....idk why....anyway, try hand washing and air-drying from now on....as for the shrunken ones...wash them by hand and then stretch them gently and hopefully they will be back to their old size.

  3. Sounds like you need to buy dresses that are one size larger, then when they shrink they will fit you fine. Almost all clothes can shrink when you wash them, your mother isn't doing anything wrong, it sounds like your dresses are a little too small to begin with. Plus I agree - if you're old enough to go around Europe, you're old enough to do your own laundry!

    Good luck!
