My mom knocked down a bird nest??

Question

So theres been some birds (not sure what kind) living in our garage and they've built a nest and laid eggs and a bird hatched. Then, after about a week the bird is still there and everything is fine. So, I wake up this morning and my mom knocked it down accidently. So, I was wondering if the baby bird would be able to survive on its own? My mom says it flew away after she hit it down.
