My mom worked for the department of children and families in Florida.

She lost all of her 401k due to the ENRON scandal. Can she pursue to claim her lost or there is no way to cliam 15 years of savings.

  1. How did Enron cost her her savings?  Did she have them invested in Enron?  Sorry, I don't believe shareholders got anything from Enron, and it's probably too late anyway.

  2. This is a web site that was established for victims of the Enron fraud.

    It should answer your questions:

    http://www.enronfraud.com/

I'm pretty sure the Enron class action settlement was one of - if not the - largest settlements in securities litigation.

  3. Usually you can't sue anybody over your bad investment. Enron is a little different because of some fraud that took place in manipulating the stock. It would be very questionable.

But here's the real problem. That happened in 2001. Your mom has probably waited way too long. I'm not sure what the time limit is to file on something like that, but it has probably passed.
