My mom owns a home that me cousin has lived in for the last 14 years. There is no written agreements. My mom?

asked her, back in Jan 08 to move by then end of the school year, in May 08. That time has come and gone. What can my mom do to remove her and her belongings from the home as quickly as possible?

  1. its a landlord tenant issue for your state, it sound like under statute its a month to month give appropriate notice to end month to month and if they stay after the fact then move for eviction under hold over


  2. She can give her a 30 day notice in writing. If still no move out, she needs to evict the cousin. She'll need to get a lawyer to handle the eviction to make sure it is done properly.

  3. Your mother needs to mail a certified letter giving her 30 days notice to vacate. If cousin doesn't leave, mom proceeds through landlord/tenant court, contact your local district justice.

    There will be a hearing and the judge will give cousin another 30 days. If she still doesn't leave the judge from the hearing will get the sheriff involved and he can put her and all of her belongings out on the street.
