My moms kinda a blonde, and she plugged the drill into her computer

cord thinking that it would charge it, but instead after about 45 mins

I notcied that it was smoking, making a poping noise, had a few

sparks, and has a REALLY bad smell!!

Is this dangerous?

Like for us to breath in??

Should we move it to the back porch?

Bc my moms afraid that it will blow acid everywhere...

  1. I don't understand what you mean by plugging it into the computer cord.  If you mean the same strip the computer is plugged into, it probably just overloaded the strip.  I don't have a clue what was popping and burning from your questions. If it was the cord, it's burnt out.  If it was the drill, it's burnt out as well.  You don't want to ever use a damaged cord, so you need to get a new one if that's it.  I don't understand how you expected to "charge" a drill by plugging it in. Cordless drills have chargeable batteries.  The drills themselves aren't chargeable.  Drills with cords aren't chargeable at all.

  2. Unplug it if not already.  If it is too hot use gloves or kitchen mit/pot holder and move it to out side.  If there is smoke in the house open windows or doors.  The drill battery does not have acid in it but it can pop.
